| Abstract | Describes current situation regarding capacity building and education, and SCAR strategy to help raise national scientific capacities relevant to Antarctic research. Sets out mechanisms for achieving aims and objectives, which include helping young scientists; provision and use of Antarctic scientific data and information; provision of objective and independent scientific advice to governments and policy making bodies; and use of Antarctic science in school and university teaching. |
